Toshiba Announces New Kira Ultrabook With An Impressive 22 Hours Of Batterylife

Toshiba Kira UltrabookToshiba last year announced its premium notebook series called Kirabook with impressive screen resolutions and build quality. They are yet to announced the next generation Kirabooks this year. However, Toshiba Japanese has announced two new Dynabook KIRA V654 and Dynabook Kira V834. Both these devices are powered by Intel’s new Haswell processors, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, IEEE 801.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and DTS Studio sound. These Ultrabooks come pre-installed with Windows 8.1, Office Home and business 2013 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.

Dynabook KIRA V654:

Dynabook KIRA V654 does not have touch screen, but it has 13-inch 1,366 x 768 resolution screen and weighs at just 1.12kg. There is also an optional high-resolution model 2,560 x 1,440. What’s so impressive about this Ultrabook? The 13-inch 1,366 x 768 resolution model will give you 22 hours of battery life and the 2,560 x 1,440 will give you 14 hours battery life. It costs 144,000 yen ($1,446).

For those people questioned about whether Windows OEMs can compete with Apple MacBook Air in terms of battery life, this is the answer.

Dynabook KIRA V834:

This Dynabook KIRA V834 has high-resolution 2,560 x 1,440 touch screen display and will have a battery life of 14 hours. It costs 153,000 yen ($1,530).

These devices will be available in Japan on 20th November.
