It seems more and more apps are leaving the Windows 8 App Store. We recently reported on the Microsoft Translator app and Dropbox apps were dropping support for Windows 8, and now the Weather Channel’s Windows 8 app is also no longer available.

While Windows 8 users can still use the website, of course, the app had a number of useful features such as breaking news and severe weather notifications, Live Tile and Lock Screen notifications, videos, maps and more.

With Windows 8’s official support ending in January this year, it appears clear that this is not an OS user should be hanging on to if they are able to upgrade to Windows 10 at all.

Thanks, Hans for the tip and screenshot.
