Samsung is said to be working on version two of the original Galaxy Fold dubbed Galaxy Fold 2 and according to famous teenage leakster Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy Fold 2 might be cheaper than its predecessor.

Galaxy Fold 2, which has a model number SM-F700F, will also be available in multiple markets. Users in the USA, Canada, China, India, Korea, EU are going to be able to buy the cheaper Galaxy Fold. Oddly enough, it’ll be available in one storage option — 256GB. The smartphone will be available in two color options — Black and Purple.

On the contrary, some leakers are claiming that the cheaper Galaxy Fold will not be called Galaxy Fold 2. Instead, Samsung might call it Galaxy Fold Lite or Galaxy Fold e.

Previous rumors suggested Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 2 won’t look like the original Galaxy Fold as the company is adopting a clamshell design. This means that Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 might share a similar design with the recently-launched Motorola RAZR folding smartphone. Rumor also has it that the Galaxy Fold 2 will have support for the S Pen.

Samsung is expected to present the new Galaxy Fold 2, or what Samsung ends up calling it, formally at Mobile World Congress 2020, for release later in the year.
