Xbox Wireless Headset

Earlier this month, rumors of a new Xbox Wireless Headset were circulating online, according to data miner ‘billbil-kun’ on a now-deleted post on Dealabs. Dubbed the “Xbox Wireless Headset Refresh,” it’s slightly more expensive than the original 2021 model and will initially only be available in black.

And it’s true. Microsoft has now launched the 2024 Xbox Wireless Headset, with support for spatial audio techs like Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS Headphone. The price stays the same at $109.99, just like in the rumors, and we’re also getting auto-mute and voice isolation features.

The headset is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs, and mobile devices, a Bluetooth v. 4.2 support, and offers up to 15 to 20 hours of battery life with quick recharging. Weighing at 11 oz (312g), the box also comes with a USB-C charging cable.

And if the $109.99 price tag seems a bit too high, well, Black Friday (and the holiday season) is just around the corner and you may want to wait for that.

The previous edition of the Xbox Wireless Headset was so good that Microsoft announced a Stereo headset, designed for spatial audio, that builded on that success back in 2021. It was a bit cheaper though at $59,99 at that time, but it came with clean and high-frequency performance with strong bass.
