Microsoft is working on a new Global Media Control for Edge (Chromium).

The control, activated by clicking the Media button in the address bar, will now not just list the currently playing media, but also all the other active media sessions, which can then be individually toggled.

The feature is currently in Commit and it is not known yet if it will be accepted or not.
