I always loved the Kin phone and I was sad to see it get abruptly discontinued. Most people have rightly assumed that it was a sign for the end of the device and Verizon got rid of all their unsold stock. Apparently, the reports of the Kin’s demise were premature and surprisingly, it has actually increased the number of users as indicated by the Facebook page that is unique to the app on the phone. 32,124 active users is not too shabby for a device that was widely panned by almost everybody. Some people will say this is due to the phone being heavily discounted by online resellers however, the numbers prove that the Kin struck a chord with some people who are still willing to use it despite all the criticisms and limitations.
