Tetris 99 is a solid battle royale game but, as of now, it’s exclusive to Nintendo Switch. For mobile users, the all-new Tetris Royale is coming to fill in the Tetris Battle Royale gap on Android and iOS.

Formed through a partnership with The Tetris Company and N3twork, Royale is attempting to up 99 in one key area: they’ve added another player! That’s right, Tetris 99 only has 99 players, but Royale has 100. Talk about the advancement of technology.

Tetris Royale will feature a variety of game modes, from the hallmark 100-player Tetris Royale mode to massive daily competitions of thousands of players to solo Marathon mode where players can hone their Tetris skills.

Players will have the ability to complete daily challenges while competing in the Tetris Royale mode to earn rewards including customization options as well as power-ups and boosters that can be used in battle.

The title will be coming to Android and iOS sometime this year with a beta test before release. (You could learn something here, Google Stadia.)

Royale is just the latest in a line of intriguing battle royale games. While you’re waiting for this to release, maybe a game of DMCA Royale, previously Mario Royale, would be a fun time?
