Both T-Mobile and Cricket has announced their launch details for the Nokia Lumia 530 in USA.

T-Mobile will be offering the affordable handset for only $79.99 commitment-free, with sales starting on Sunday, the 5th October. at Bestbuy stores and their own retail locations and website.

AT&T’s Cricket subsidiary has however done them one better, not just on launch date but also price.

Cricket will start offering the handset on Friday 3rd October, for an amazing $49.99.  The handset will also be offered online and at their retail locations.

The handset features a 4-inch 854 x 480 screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of onboard storage, with a microSD card that supports up to 128 GB of additional storage and a five megapixel rear camera.

The amazing prices is sure to result in a rebound in Windows Phone market share in USA, though we hope that customer satisfaction will not suffer from the somewhat anaemic specs of the device.
