Want to stop Bing Chat from including web search? You’re in for some good news.

The popular search engine, powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4, has been gaining attention as the world’s first AI-based search engine. Microsoft’s Mikhail Parakhin confirmed on Twitter that they will soon introduce “official #nosearch support” in response to a user’s request to have a conversation with the smart chatbot without constant web searches for known information.

The addition of this feature can be beneficial to various users, particularly those who engage in coding and math equations that don’t require web-based answers. Previously, users had to explicitly mention in their prompts to exclude web searches or utilize ChatGPT +. Therefore, having the “nosearch” feature is a valuable enhancement.

Just a few months after its release, Microsoft proudly announced that its Bing AI chatbot surpassed 100 million daily active users, only a few months after its initial launch. With the removal of the waitlist, accessibility has been opened up to everyone, leading to the expectation of further growth in user numbers over time.

Additionally, there is also an intriguing feature called Bing Image Creator, powered by DALL-E, which enables users to generate custom images or artwork by providing simple prompts.
