EA was supposed to officially unveil Star Wars: Battlefront II on April 15 but it looks like that won’t be happening with the fanfare they expected. Numerous users uploaded the trailer early to websites like Vimeo and YouTube and it has since spread on all forms of social media. The trailer features in-game footage but doesn’t showcase gameplay. As expected, Star Wars: Battlefront II tells the story of a soldier who appears to be loyal to the Galactic Empire. Characters like Yoda and Darth Maul also make an appearance. While most of this content is expected to be a part of multiplayer, the single-player story may surprise us all.

EA confirmed Star Wars: Battlefront II for this year and it looks like they’re definitely delivering. As expected, the title features a marketing agreement with Sony just like the prequel. Those who preorder the game will also receive content from the Star Wars: The Last Jedi film releasing this holiday season. Hopefully the single-player campaign will be deep and lengthy enough to erase DICE’s mistakes with their first attempt at the game. Only time will tell. However, until then, enjoy the trailer.
