Sony’s June 4 State of Play Promised 40 Minutes of PS5 Updates and Reveals

June 5, 2025 – Sony streamed a new State of Play on June 4, spotlighting upcoming PS5 games in a 40-minute broadcast. The show kicks off at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 11 pm CEST and will stream live on YouTube and Twitch.
Sony says the lineup includes titles from studios around the world. While they haven’t named any specific games yet, fans can expect updates on a range of upcoming PS5 projects.
The stream was broadcast in English. It is also available to rewatch, but Sony warns that licensed music may trigger takedowns for creators uploading the show as a video-on-demand.

For those who had co-streamed or published clips from the event, Sony recommended cutting out any parts that contain copyrighted music. The company says it supports creators sharing content, but licensing rules may affect what stays online.
Sony hasn’t confirmed whether the State of Play stream will include first-party exclusives or just third-party releases, but past events have included a mix of both.
