Early this year, Snap announced the updated Spectacles that are more comfortable to wear with a smaller profile. Snap also made it water resistant allowing users to use it on the beach, or a pool party with confidence. In September, it announced two new styles of Spectacles v2: Nico and Veronica. These new Spectacles come in black-on-black with polarized lenses, making it more fashionable than the original Spectacles 2.

Today, Cheddar reported that Snap is planning to release new Spectacles that will feature two cameras and all-new design made of premium aluminum frame. This premium Spectacles will cost $350 and is expected to be released by end of this year. Thanks to dual cameras, the updated Snapchat app will be able to overlay AR lenses and create 3D-like photo effects from content taken by the Spectacles.

While the current version of Spectacles is not selling as expected, I’m surprised to know that Snap wants to release a premium version to win more customers. We will come to know more about its plans in the coming weeks.
