Microsoft has updated the Skype application for Windows 10 Insiders in the Fast Ring on Skip Ahead.

The latest version of the app is 12.1811.247.0 and brings the following new features:

  • Mixed Reality: Quickly start a video call with the people you talk to most, by placing them anywhere in your cliff house.
  • Support for the Preview Program: Interested in shaping the future of Skype? Join the Skype Preview from Skype Settings to get early access to builds and give your feedback.
  • Improved call calling: This item was on earlier changelogs, and lets you answer incoming calls directly from Skype even when the Windows 10 Quite Hours setting is turned on.

The Skype Preview program does not seem available yet, but will presumably arrive shortly.

The update, which is only available for Insiders on Skip Ahead, can be found here.
