Skype for Linux has been updated to version 5.4, it’s still a beta, but this update enables Group video calling — albeit in experimental form.

Microsoft recently updated Skype for Windows 10, iOS, and Android to incorporate a new design language here’s hoping that this new update rolls out to Linux users soon as well for consistency’s sake.

Here’s the feature list of this update.

  • Enabled the Group video calling
  • Updated to Electron 1.7.4 for performance and security improvements
  • Fixed the Skype Update repository keys
  • Bugfixes and improvements
