Microsoft today released a new version of Skype for Linux users. Skype for Linux Alpha 1.6 comes with the ability to paste files from clipboard and few other improvements. Read the full change log below.

Change log:

  • Added the ability to paste files from clipboard
  • Added settings for emoticons (Under the Messaging section of Settings)
  • Fixed message quoting
  • Added the option to unpin Favorites from Recent conversations
  • Names of group chats are not automatically converted to lowercase after editing
  • Several under-the-hood stability improvements
