Microsoft today released a new update for Skype for Android preview app, taking it to version 8.29.76. Like the iOS app, this update brings support for recording your phone calls. Unlike the iOS app, the Android app will now also let you send and recieve SMS messages.

The full changelog reads:

  • Record calls – You can record calls using the appropriate button – soon you will be able to record Skype video calls without third-party software.
  • Send and receive text messages – You can send text messages using Skype Credit or the Your Phone app .
