Last week, an Apple’s iMessage bug was discovered which allowed anyone to send a message to iPhone users and crash their device. Today, similar bug was discovered in Skype which will crash Skype client on Windows, Android, and iOS platforms. Sending the characters “http://:” (without the quotes) crashes the client. Since Skype syncs messages from their servers, even reinstalling the app won’t work. After fresh install, it will again crash.
“We are aware of the problem and are working to provide an resolution,” said Skype spokesperson.
