German website Heise reports that a list of 1800 Minecraft usernames and passwords has been published online. Anyone can use these usernames and passwords to log into Minecraft world and even download a full version of the game which sells for $26.95).
There is no information on whether these usernames and passwords were obtained by hackers using phishing techniques or directly from Minecraft server by a security breach. Hopefully, it should not be a security breach, because Minecraft has over 100 million users!
Microsoft is yet to comment on this leaks. However, it is better for users to change their Minecraft username and passwords to stay protected.
