Since Sea of Thieves’ launch in March, Rare have done a lot of work to add more content to the brilliant ship-based game. With that said, have you ever wanted to have just a pure deathmatch mode?

Well, that’s what Rare are working on right now! While they are still working on their upcoming Shrouded Spoils update, they’re also hard at work making an all-new team-based mode. You’ll have to prove your worth as a team in a battle for as much treasure as you can get your grubby scurvy-ridden hands on.

Announced during XO18, Sea of Thieves’ Arena gameplay will be a completely separate mode from the main adventure gameplay. It will be accessible from the game’s main menu, but it won’t be available for a while yet.

If you’re a beta participant for Sea of Thieves, you will be able to access the new Arena mode before anyone else.

Sea of Thieves is available on Xbox Game Pass right now!
