During the recently held Augmented World Expo, Samsung’s director of developer relations for XR and gaming Farshid Fallah revealed that Samsung still has real interest in the VR and AR market. In fact, Samsung is planning to release multiple AR and VR products over the coming months.
Right now, Samsung has two different VR products. The Gear VR headset is focused on mobile users while the HMD Odyssey Windows Mixed Reality Headset is targeted towards high-end VR and enterprise market. On the AR side, Samsung’s only real presence is the newly added depth sensor in Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus which enables decent AR experience.
