The Samsung Omnia M, due in UK in August, has now gone on sale in India.
The Windows Phone Tango handset will be retailing for 17,990 INR, which is around $320, making it a relatively expensive device.
The handset will be competing against the Nokia Lumia 610, which is priced nearly $100 cheaper at 12,999 INR (around $231).
The Samsung device does however have a few specs which help justify its higher price.
Samsung Omnia M | Nokia Lumia 610 | |
RAM | 384MB | 256MB |
Processor | 1 Ghz | 800 Mhz |
Storage | 4 and 8 GB | 8 GB |
Screen | 4 inch Super AMOLED | 3.7 inch LCD |
Camera | 5 megapixel back, VGA front | 5 megapixel back |
Exclusive apps | Samsung apps | Nokia apps, including Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport, many others |
While the Omnia M beats the Nokia Lumia 610 in most areas, Nokia’s exclusive apps, mainly Nokia Drive in particular, probably tips the scale in the direction of the Nokia handset.
