We reported yesterday that Samsung’s new Samsung Galaxy Gear IconX 2019 truly wireless headphones will feature the latest technology, including Bluetooth 5.0, which should mean longer battery life.

Now a new report by AllaboutSamsung.de confirms another feature which Apple has been trying to deliver for almost two years now. According to AAS the charging case will now support wireless charging, something which Apple announced for the Airpods in September 2017 but never delivered. The case apparently has also received a redesign, which will hopefully mean a sleeker profile than the current rather thick design.

Apparently, the headsets have been renamed to the more catchy Galaxy Buds and have been Tuned by AKG for even better sound quality.

AAS also reports Samsung is also releasing a new set of wearables – the Samsung Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit mini and Pulse, which is a fitness-orientated smartwatch.

As a very satisfied owner of the last generation of IconX headphones I can say I look forward to seeing what Samsung can do to make the next generation even better.
