Details of Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon X Elite SoC for Windows PCs leaked

Last week, Qualcomm announced that Snapdragon X Series will be the brand for its upcoming chipsets for PCs. The Snapdragon X Series will compete with the popular Apple M-series chipsets in terms of performance in the ARM ecosystem. As per Qualcomm, the Snapdragon X Series will deliver industry leading performance per watt, multiple days of battery life on a single charge, dedicated NPU for AI processing and 5G connectivity.
Today, Windows Report leaked several details about the upcoming Snapdragon X Elite SoC that will be part of Snapdragon X Series. As the name suggests, the Snapdragon X Elite will be flagship chipset of this generation and it will offer up to 2X CPU and GPU performance when compared to equivalent x86 chipsets from Intel and AMD.
The Snapdragon X Elite will feature 12 Oryon high-performance cores, LPDDR5X memory that can support up to 136GB/s, Adreno GPU that can deliver 4.6 TFLOPS with triple 4K display support. In terms of AI performance, the Snapdragon X Elite will feature an NPU that can deliver 45 TOPS and it can run 13B parameter model on device. In terms of connectivity, the Snapdragon X Elite PCs will support both 5G and WiFi-7. Finally, the integrated Always Sensing ISP will be able to deliver several power efficient experiences.
