Microsoft today announced the new features they are adding to their Power BI mobile apps. Both iOS and Android apps are receiving this update with some new capabilities, improvements to existing features, and more.

Microsoft recently added support for Q&A on their iOS app. Using this feature, users can ask questions about their data in their own words. With this update, they have added the option to provide feedback in context, so they can know how users feel about the answers they get from Q&A. Users can just long-tap a chart or other result, then tap the smiley or frowny face. Microsoft is also adding support for 3D touch on iOS devices. Users can now deep-press the Power BI app icon on the home screen to access notifications, search, and recently used dashboards.

Power BI Android apps can now connect to up to five different SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) servers at the same time. Also, when users scan a QR code for a tile in a dashboard that’s not shared with them, they can now ask the dashboard owner for access directly from the Power BI app.

Apart from the above features, they have improved touch interactions for time slicers and fixed a bug for time slicers in focus mode on both iOS and Android apps.
