PicsArt is a popular photo editor and photography community with more than 175 million installs in iOS, Android and Windows Phone/Windows 8, and and has more than 50 million monthly users.

The app has been available on Windows Phone since December 2013, and is also available on Windows 8, and it seems the company is now eager to unify their code base and create a single Universal app.

When asked about this on twitter they said:

This news, added to similar recent WhatsApp report, suggests we may see much faster uptake of Universal App solutions that we may have suspected, especially for apps which already support our platform.
