CES 2020 is all set to begin on January 7 in Las Vegas and the event will see a new guest. OnePlus will hold its first-ever CES event next year and OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the company will show “something special” at the event.

We’ll show you something special. See you in Las Vegas, ?” Pete Lau tweeted.

While we don’t know what is the “something special” that the OnePlus CEO is talking about, rumor has it that the company could launch its first-ever smartwatch and earbuds.

Back in 2016, OnePlus filed a patent for a smartwatch, which led the people thinking that the company will bring a smartwatch to the market very soon. The rumors died down quickly only to surface again this year. Rumors now suggest that OnePlus smartwatch is going to sport a circular watch face design.

OnePlus recently launched its first-ever smart television, and now if OnePlus launches a smartwatch, it’ll definitely make its product portfolio more appealing.

OnePlus is unlikely to launch OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro at the event as both of them are expected to release in the month of May next year. Aside from OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, OnePlus is rumored to be working on a mid-range smartphone, which will be called OnePlus 8 Lite.

What do you think will be the “special something” that OnePlus will launch at the CES event? You can make a guess in the comments section.
