WordPress is the biggest blogging platform in the world, with over 15 million sites running the Content Management System.

Our site itself runs on WordPress, and we are therefore ecstatic to read that Automattic has released an official client for Windows Phone 7.

The free software makes great use of the panoramic UI of Windows phone 7, and allows the the moderation of comments, and also the writing of rudimentary posts, which unfortunately uses a basic HTML editor for the dirty work.

The software also interestingly allows for seeing the statistics for the site, including post views, referrers and clicks, all pretty essential information for bloggers.

The software can be found in Marketplace here.
