We have not seen much of Windows Live Messenger for Windows Mobile, and have just seen some rumours of a 3rd company company developing it.

Now Miyowa, a 250 man software company which makes official Windows Live Messenger clients for many other mobile OS’s already, has owned up in a blog post to being behind the official version for Windows Phone 7 also.

The app will be free and ad-supported, muck like the desktop client is now. Miyowa have supplied the screenshots above, which features the typical Metro look.

See more on their blog here.
