Today we have another sign that Windows Phone is doing well, with Asian Amazon-killer Flipkart working on their own official Windows Phone mobile app.

On Android the app features the ability to easily search and navigate the store, view close-up product images and read reviews, pay by Cash on Delivery, Credit/Debit Cards, EMI and NetBanking, track items, access your Flipkart account and share links. On iOS the app includes a barcode scanner for comparison shopping when out and about.

It is likely the Window Phone app will have a similar feature set, which is good news for those who want to keep their shopping virtual as long as possible.

No time scale has been announced, except that it is “coming soon” but keep track of their latest mobile app offerings here.

Thanks Prasad for the tip.
