WinPhoneLive.ru reports that Nokia’s official store in Russia implemented across-board price cuts for the full Lumia range, with discounts as much as 15%.

The new prices at the  n-store.ru are:

  • Nokia Lumia 920 – 21 990 (-3000) rub.;  ($696)
  • Nokia Lumia 820 – 16 990 (-3000) rub.;  ($538)
  • Nokia Lumia 620 – 10 490 (-1500) rub.;  ($332)
  • Nokia Lumia 710 – 7490 (-1500) rub.;  ($237)
  • Nokia Lumia 510 – 7490 (500) Rs.; ($237)

The discounts include both Windows Phone 7 and 8 handsets, but not the coming handsets, the Nokia Lumia 520 and 720.

While the list does not include the Nokia Lumia 800 and 610, these handsets can also be picked up for very cheap at Euroset and The Messenger, where the  Nokia Lumia 800 can be found for 11 990 (-1000) rubles ($380) and the  Nokia Lumia 610 for 7490 (-500) rubles ($237).

Nokia has of course not announced reasons, but two that come to mind is that it may be part of Nokia’s regular scheduled price reductions for aging handsets, as has been their pattern through the ages, or secondly that Nokia is clearing inventory for the next generation of handsets, the 520, 720, and unannounced EOS and Catwalk.

Either way the price cuts will likely result in short term boost in Windows Phone market share over the next few weeks while stocks last.
