Nokia Music

Nokia today announced a new premium music subscription service called Music+ for Lumia Windows Phone users. The new service brings features such as unlimited skips in Mix Radio, High quality downloads, etc,. Users will be able to subscribe to this new service at $5 USD(approx) via in-app purchase using a credit card, or even via operator billing if it is available in the country.

Nokia Music+ roll out will begin in next few weeks and will be made available in 24 countries where Nokia Music is available within Q1 2013. We are yet to know the list of 24 countries where this paid service will be available soon.

Jyrki Rosenberg, VP Entertainment at Nokia told the following about this new service,

“Nokia Music is great for discovering new music, and we’ve found that there’s a core of users that want even more of it. This is how Nokia Music+ came about. By introducing features like infinite skips and unlimited downloads, we’re opening the doors for unlimited music discovery at only €3.99 per month.

“This is for people who care enough about music to pay something for more quality and choice, but don’t want to pay €9.99 monthly.”

I am very tempted to sign up for this rather than Xbox Music Pass. Do any of our readers feel the same? Let us know below.
