At the Australian TechEd 2013 event Microsoft gave a presentation on the State of Windows Phone, which includes a number of stats which we have touched on already earlier today.

One of the more interesting ones however was that Nokia was responsible for 600+ branded apps, and that more than 20,000 Nokia Lumias have been seeded to developers.

Some of those apps were of course Nokia Exclusives, what Nokia called “First and Only on Nokia Lumia” but most were shared with the whole Windows Phone ecosystem.

Much of the recent optimism we have seen around Windows Phone was not just from the sales growth, but also from the arrival of these “branded apps” on Windows Phone, and I guess now we know who to thank.
