With Nokia set to release a number of Bluetooth Low Energy accessories soon, it seems ironic that only their cheaper handsets will be able to take advantage of the technology.

Nokia’s own Nokia Care app confirms Bluetooth Low Energy beta Compatibility will only come to the Nokia Lumia 520, 620, 625 and 720.

Interestingly however Ben Lampe from Nokia’s German PR team claims that the initial roll-out of Bluetooth Low Energy Support is just a beta, and that all handsets will eventually get support.

He tweeted:

Are our reader somewhat placated by the news, or is Lampe’s word as reliable as those Nokia officials who tweeted Windows Phone 7 handsets will get upgraded to WP8? Let us know below.

Thanks S.M.A.Sithick for the tip.
