Mike Ybarra from Windows and Xbox gaming group at Microsoft today posted on Twitter that the next major Xbox system update will be released to preview members in May or early June.

At Build 2016’s day one keynote few weeks back, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed that Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps will be supported in Xbox One. Also, Microsoft revealed the brand-new Xbox Dev Mode was also highlighted, allowing developers of all shapes and sizes to unlock their retail Xbox Ones to more efficiently build, test, and experiment with UWP apps and games. Microsoft is also bringing Cortana to Xbox One, and some of the most-requested fan features, like Background Music on Xbox One. All these will be coming as part of Anniversary Update that will come in May or Early June.
