YouTube has pre-announced a change to their supported API which would result in apps which have not been updated to fail with the above video.

Some Windows Phone apps, as as Tubecast, have updated already, and others like MetroTube are just today publishing updates to accommodate this change.

While this change by Google is not targeting Windows Phone directly, Windows Phone users will unfortunately be most negatively impacted, as the new API no longer supports getting recent subscription videos, or in search results seeing the number of views  video has or related videos, recommendations and subscriptions.

As far as we know myTube, TubeCast and the new MetroTube support the new API.  Are there any Windows Phone apps which have not been updated yet? Let us know below.

Thanks Dileep for the tip.
