Recently, Microsoft released Edge version 135 to the stable channel, which is now available with new features and improvements.

Notably, there are two new features in Edge v135 according to the “What’s New” page, apart from Widgets. Here they are:

Copilot Video Summary: Microsoft recently rolled out a new Copilot UI across platforms. Copilot in Edge now lets you quickly create a video summary. Unsurprisingly, this works with YouTube videos. Visit any YouTube video in Edge, click on the Copilot icon, and then click “Summarize this video”โ€”Copilot will do the rest.

Extension Performance Alerts: Back in September last year, Microsoft announced that it will alert users if any extensions are slowing down or impacting Edgeโ€™s performance, allowing them to decide whether to turn off extensions to speed up Edge via notification in Browser Essentials. The feature is now present in Edge v135.

You will be presented with a list of extensions causing the slowdown in Browser Essentials. Microsoft says most users wonโ€™t get this alert unless Edge detects a persistent problem coming from extensions.
