New 'Geometry' World And Lessons Available On Minecraft Education Edition

Microsoft announced Minecraft Education Edition few months back. Minecraft: Education Edition is an open world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. Teachers the world over are embracing this medium as a way to allow their students to engage with a variety of different subject areas and topics. Today, Microsoft announced that new ‘Geometry’ world and lessons are now available for download.

Created by Marco Vigelini & Alisia Arconi, this world and lesson plan walk students through opportunities to explore basic geometric concepts of area & perimeter. Have your students discover the relationships between these measures as they related to quadrilaterals and other shapes, and when you’re finished, use the open space to build even more.
