Mozilla has decided to put an end to its Test Pilot program on 22nd January 2019. The company first launched the program back in 2016 and the Test Pilot program was made available as a browser extension for Windows, OS X, and Linux.

Mozilla did a lot of experiments in the past, some of which yielded positive results like Price tracking feature and more. However, the company has now decided to retire the program but will continue testing features and will move the current experiments to Addons.Mozilla.org.

Mozilla has released the official statement praising the program and said it helped them to strengthen their position in the market. However, the company didn’t comment on why they decided to close the program. Although, all is not lost as the company hinted that it may be cooking up a replacement for the current program.
