You’ll be able to get a whole lot more creative in Cities: Skylines on Xbox One very soon. Announced today in a post on Xbox Wire, Cities: Skylines will be getting user-created mods in a free update going out tomorrow.

The developers have been hard at work trying to implement this feature since launch. There are already a selection of mods that have been curated, tested, and are ready to drop right into your cities tomorrow. This will be the team’s first venture into mods for any Xbox title, so they’re happy to hear any feedback and are excited to see what users will create; they want to keep the content growing.

In addition, a new content pack is also coming as part of the game’s Season Pass. The Creator Content Pack will contain buildings created by some of Cities: Skylines’ most talented community artists and modelers. It is set to drop on March 6.

It’s good to see games other than Bethesda titles implementing mods on Xbox One. They’re arguably one of the most popular features in Skyrim and Fallout 4, so they’ll no doubt add to Cities: Skylines’ longevity as well. Let’s hope mods are brought to more games in the future.
