Mixer’s 1-year anniversary is taking place today and the service just announced a ton of new features to celebrate its success.

To begin the announcement, Mixer looked back on its first year by revealing that it had surpassed 10 million monthly active users last December and has continued to grow ever since. The Mixer viewing audience has grown more than 4X, and as a thank you, Mixer has a few gifts in store.

Mixer is getting a refreshed website for both desktop and mobile starting today, making it easier to find the content you care about. This refresh is being rolled out in a beta and the first few changes will only be available to Mixer Pro members right now. To opt-in and see the new site, visit your Account Settings and select the Site Version dialog, Anniversary Design option at the bottom of the page. All Mixer users will get to see the redesigned site early in the summer.

The elusive MixPlay, which showed up in a trademark months ago, is actually an evolution of Mixer Interactivity. MixPlay adds tools to allow developers to “create MixPlay experiences on top of streams, in panels on the side of video, as widgets around video or as free-floating overlays.” This allows for more customization and personalization.

MixPlay was used to create a fully virtual Xbox controller, so anyone broadcasting from the console can share their controller with a viewer. Certain MixPlay games, like Mixer Mini Golf, will only be available to play on Mixer.

New MixPlay experiences will be shared next month at E3.

For the first time, HypeZone is expanding beyond the battle royale genre with the introduction of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. This will be the best place to catch all of your favorite Rainbow Six streamers.

As a thanks for all of the feedback since the announcement of Direct Purchase, a limited-time promotion is being offered. Those making a purchase of $9.99 or more via Mixer Direct Purchase will receive $5 in Microsoft Store credit. Mixer Partners will also earn 10% from Direct Purchase during the same time period.

Lastly, those who sign into their Mixer accounts at least once between May 24, 2018 at 12:00AM UST and May 28, 2018 at 11:59PM PT and reach at least Level 10 on their account by the end of that time will receive a free 1-month channel subscription and up to 90 days of Mixer Pro benefits.
