Microsoft rolled out an update to its Paint 3D app earlier today for Insiders on the fast ring.

Much like with the People and Photos app before it,  the firm added some subtle transparency to the app — present in both the app header and the file menu as you can see above. Now, elements of your background peek through as you work on your masterpiece in Paint 3D — or ignore it like the rest of the world — whatever works for you.

In addition to the NEON update, Microsoft also updated the file menu in the app. While it isn’t as quick as the File Ribbon UI in Paint Classic, it is faster and less clunky the initial and confusing interface Paint 3D shipped with.
