Microsoft has pushed out an update to the Movies and TV app to Windows 10 Insiders on the Fast Ring.

The update takes the app to version 2019.17092.12811.0 and brings support for immersive 360-degree video using Microsoft’s new Windows Mixed Reality Motion Controllers, as can be seen in the gif above by aggiornamentilumia.it.

Microsoft is due to launch their Windows Mixed Reality VR ecosystem on the 17th October 2017, with a range of headsets and controllers from a wide variety of OEMs available for around $400-$500. The launch will also bring 360-degree video content specifically made to support the new headsets, some of which will presumably be viewable using the app.

The update is also available in Windows 10 Mobile, but of course without the motion controller support.

Fast Ring users can find the updated app in the Windows Store here.
