Amidst the globalization of business being “AI optimized“, Microsoft has published new insights highlighting the seismic effects of AI investments.

In collaboration with IDC, the company commissioned a study titled The Business Opportunity of AI, revealing that for every $1 spent on generative AI, organizations are seeing an average return of $3.70.

Among its findings, the report describes four pivotal business impacts of A.I as enhancing employee experience, transforming customer connections, reimagining business processes, and speeding innovation. AI is freeing people from monotonous work so they can do more creative and strategic things and also enabling businesses to customize marketing, operate more efficiently, and speed up product development.

By now, over 85% of Fortune 500 companies have adopted Microsoft’s AI capabilities to teach competitive advantage . It has also presented more than 400 actual case studies where AI is being implemented within various sectors; from supply chain to marketing and finance.

This latest platform shift, following earlier transitions to mobile, cloud, and web technologies, is setting a new standard for business transformation. Microsoft says it will continue updating its AI insights, hoping to inspire more organizations to explore the potential of this rapidly evolving technology.
