Unlike Apple Microsoft has been pretty reticent in telling us how well (or poorly) developers are doing in create apps for its Windows and Windows Phone Store, but with Windows 10 Microsoft has started a renewed push to get developers on board, with its planned billion installs being the main selling point.

In a presentation by Romuald Zdebsky, Games Lead for Central & Eastern Europe for Microsoft titled “How to Reach a Billion of New Players with Windows 10” Microsoft did however share some success stories, ranging from Lextre making $1400 per day from its game Perfect Shift to GameInsight having more than 14 million installs from its various apps and millions in revenue from the store.

Of course other research has shown it is only the very few that experience this level of success in the store, but Microsoft is counting on the growing reach of the Windows 10 Store to close the gap with other platforms.

Developers who want to get in early can see the whole presentation embedded below.
