Last year, we exclusively revealed that Microsoft is working on a new Cortana-powered speaker with Harman Kardon. The Cortana-powered speaker was teased by Harman Kardon earlier this year, and it’s set to launch sometime soon.

Now, according to one of our trusted sources, Microsoft is soon going to start testing a new Cortana device with some users. The company is going to start inviting Cortana users in the United States to be part of the new device pilot. While it isn’t clear what the new product actually is, but our guess is that it’s the upcoming Harman Kardon Invoke Cortana-powered smart speaker.

Details regarding the pilot program for this mystery device are quite scarce, but we were told that Microsoft is going to kick-off the program in a couple of weeks. Interestingly enough, this is the first time Microsoft is going to be inviting Windows Insiders to test actual hardware.
