Microsoft has confirmed that its new Fast Async technology, which will “provide a way for games to find players across screens†and manage data sessions more efficiently will in fact be cross platform.
To Geekwire they said:
Microsoft says the matchmaking service with Fast Async “can be used from any Xbox LIVE platform, not just Windows Phones.â€
True cross-platform gaming, both real time and turn by turn, has been one of the unfulfilled promises of Xbox Live integration on Windows Phone 7, and both may finally come to fruition with Mango.
