Microsoft Teams Rooms is a dedicated hardware and software solution for video conferencing rooms. Microsoft Teams Rooms is intended for use with Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business Online, Skype for Business Server 2019, or Skype for Business Server 2015. Microsoft offers two Teams Rooms subscription options, Microsoft Teams Rooms Standard and Microsoft Teams Rooms Premium.
Microsoft has now announced that Microsoft Whiteboard app will be added to Microsoft Teams Rooms. Microsoft is planning to make Whiteboard app available in Microsoft Teams Rooms by December 2020. Whiteboard integration in Microsoft Teams Rooms is powered by Whiteboard for the web, which lets participants of Teams meetings collaborate together on a shared digital canvas. Inking is available if the room system is equipped with a touch display. In Teams Rooms with a standard display, Whiteboard will be in View-Only mode.
