Microsoft Smart text actions are a part of click to do feature

Fix Windows errors with Fortect:
Fortect can repair common computer errors by scanning your entire system for damaged or missing OS files and replacing them with the original, working versions. Optimize your PC in 3 simple steps:

  1. Download and Install Fortect on your PC
  2. Use the PC Scan feature to look up any Windows issues (including drivers)
  3. Right-click on Repair, and fix it within a few minutes.

Besides that, it helps you clean up junk files, fix stability problems, and get rid of annoying programs and malware traces.

Microsoft is rolling out smart text actions for its Click to Do feature on AMD and Intel Copilot+ PCs, starting May 13, 2025. These new tools allow users to quickly summarize, create bullet points, or rewrite selected text using built-in shortcuts.

To use the feature, press WIN + mouse click or WIN + Q, then drag over the desired text. A small menu pops up, offering three quick actions: Summarize, Bullet List, and Rewrite. The rewrite tool lets users switch tone, from casual to polished or formal, on the go.

Microsoft’s local small language model – Phi Silica powers the smart text feature directly on-device. That means results appear immediately, without needing to go online. If the output works, you can copy it right to your clipboard.

To use this feature, users should ensure the following:

  • Default language is set to English
  • The selected text has at least 10 words.
  • Sign in with a Microsoft or Microsoft Entra account.

These updates make quick edits easier across apps without needing a full editor. Feedback can be submitted using WIN + F, under Desktop Environment > Click to Do.

These builds are part of Microsoft’s Windows 11 Insider Program, where the tech giant tests experimental features and fixes critical bugs. Users can verify their build and channel under Settings > System > About or by entering “winver” in the Run dialog.
