Microsoft has just rolled out a new update for OneNote Beta for Android device. The latest Beta comes with some new changes and bug fixes. The latest Beta bumps OneNote app to v16.0.8827.2001 and brings the following changes:

  • Create different types of notes quickly using pop-up menu
  • Bug fixes and improvements

In order to use this feature, you need to tap and hold the OneNote icon on the home screen to get a shortcut menu. Here you can access all types of options available like Photos, Notes, Lists etc. This is definitely not a major update but is quite handy for regular users. Also do note that in order for this feature to work, you need to have an Android device with Android 7.0 or above since Google introduced this feature with Android Nougat.

If you’re an Android user and a Beta tester then you can grab the latest update from the Google Play Store below. You can also go to the Google Play Store listing and sign-up as a Beta tester if you haven’t done that.

It’s good to see Microsoft integrating its services to other platforms to give users a better experience irrespective of whatever mobile device they choose.
