Microsoft Research today releases a new photo sharing app called Xim for iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices. Xim allows you to share your photos from your device with other people. How many times we have faced a situation where we passed our phone to share a photo among group of people? Xim is looking to fix this scenario. Anyone invited to a Xim can advance the photos and all screens are synchronized, which means everyone knows they are looking at and talking about the same photo, even when not in the same room together.

Another good thing about Xim is that others can enjoy the photos even if they don’t have the app. From privacy point of view, with Xim you’ll never have to worry again about mistakenly “oversharing” – be it a personal photo, or that little cold you’re getting over. Also, Xims expire after a little while!

Xim is available for free in the Windows Phone, Apple App, and Google Play stores.
